Genuine WWII US M-1942 machete, 18-inch blade, made by True Temper and dated 1943; black bakelite grips. Comes in its original OD 7 canvas scabbard, manufactured by ATLAS and also dated 1943.
Such machetes were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with American paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.
Nice homogeneous set in quite good, used condition.
