Great genuine Vietnam War US Army M1 helmet, rear rim seam and swivel loops, shell number 1531.

Canvas chinstrap with steel hook and buckle.

Retains its original liner, of the specific type intended for airborne troops, retaining its cotton web suspension and neckband, russet leather sweatband, and black-painted A washers (A yokes, chinstrap and chincup are missing).

This assembly comes along with a Mitchell Pattern reversible camouflage helmet cover, showing a contract number which corresponds to the year 1967; various inscriptions are visible on the green side, such as mentions Scottie's Tactical Hat and The End.

Rare homogeneous set, in good overall condition.
