Genuine WWII US M1942 machete, 18-inch blade, made by Disston and dated 1944, featuring khaki bakelite grips. Comes in its original canvas scabbard, manufactured by S. Froehlich Co., Inc. and 1942.
Such machetes were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with American paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.
Homogeneous set in quite good overall condition.
