Nice genuine WWII US M1942 machete, 18-inch blade, made by Collins & Co. and dated 1942; black bakelite grips. Comes in its original OD 7 canvas scabbard, manufactured by Atlas and dated 1943.
Such machetes were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with American paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.
Homogeneous set in quite good overall condition.
