Interesting genuine WWII US Army M1 helmet, front rim seam and fixed loops, manufactured by McCord, shell number 2[?]6B.
Original early canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook.
Although the entire surface of the present shell features a blue-green color generally associated with the US Navy, the Corporal rank stripes painted on the front -- under first name Harry -- seem to conflict with this assumption.
Comes with its original liner, manufactured by Inland, retaining cotton web suspension and neckband, leather sweatband, and plain A washers.
Good, worn condition.
